Hi and welcome to my website, I am freelance photographer based in Dunbar Scotland which is the birthplace of the explorer, naturalist and influential conservationist John Muir. The area has some amazing coastline and makes easy to access Edinburgh, Scottish borders and Northumberland.

I have been interested in photography since the 1980’s, and I am passionate about the outdoors and wildlife, but I enjoy all forms of photography including the technical side.

I believe that photography is all about capturing a special moment in time which tells a story with it being a mountain, a river, the coast, people, wildlife and pets.

In 2015, I completed the professional photography course with the New York Institute of Photography, as I wanted to take my photography to a new level.

 

For the those who are interested in what equipment I use

I currently use the Canon EOS system with a wide variety of lenses and my current cameras are the 5D MkIII, 5D MkII, 7D MkII and also the Sony a6000 which I use for its compactness.
